Hey everybody,
Just introducing myself and letting you all know a little bit about me. I have been watching anime since I was 8 I am 23 now so do the math. I was one of those Toonami Kids, then Adult Swim. Then I realized how much I had been missing out on. I still purchase Manga, Dvd's, wristbands etc...To help support the anime industry. There are so many classics I love like Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Beebop, Tenchi all of them. I love the new stuff too like Naruto Shippuuden, Nabari no ou, Bleach just to name a few. I get ripped on for watching anime by my stupid mom but she's a drunk LOL luckily I don't live with her. I have two friends I can watch anime with. I like the herb. I love computers desktops tho no laptops blah! I don't know can't think of anything else to write. So hello TT community forum!

Welcome. Just to let you know, the forums are pretty dead, except for some occasional questions and requests and stuff like that, though that doesn't mean that you should follow the example. I see you're a mainstream fan. For someone who's watched anime for so long, it might be good to try watching a bit more diverse.

Welcome to the forums. Hope your stay here will be satisfying

Like Katsu said, you seem to be a mainstream anime fan.
I suggest you watch some anime that are not in the "English distributed" titles such as Clannad, AIR, EF ~A tale of memories~, or check the new animes that have started to air out in Japan in this season. Search Spring 2010 anime, you might find something interesting, and continue your way backwards in the year to find more.

I wouldn't say I just watch mainstream anime I have seen and loved Clannad+After Story, I am have also seen most of the new animes. Those animes I was talking about in my first post was the stuff I started out on. I'am a pretty avid watcher who checks out everything. My favorites right now are Gintama, One Piece, Fairy Tail,Nurarhyon, Sengoku Basara 2, Occult Academy, Hyakka Samurai Girls, Legend of the legendary heroes just to name a few...

Those are mainstream just as well. I think DualStorm was just talking about the American mainstream. Here's just a few, not quite so mainstream I could recommend you to watch:

Baccano! (something I can't really describe with just a few words)
Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou (one of the best gag animes there is)
Darker than BLACK - Kuro no Keiyakusha (neo noir anime about people with supernatural powers, but darker than most with the same theme)
Kaidoumaru (beautiful historical anime, one episode OVA)
Kaiba (romantic scifi, a little different kind of anime)
Kamichu! (slice of life anime about a girl who became a kami)
Kino no Tabi (episodic style anime about travels of Kino and a motorcycle Hermes)
Megazone 23 (old three part cyberpunk OVA)
Nekojiru-sou (a surrealistic anime movie about two cats, based on a gag manga/anime)
Samurai Champloo (adventure comedy, a little different kind of samurai anime)
Shinreigatari (supernatural stuff)

I was just bored.

Do you call everyone you meet in the internet "dude"? You can't just assume that everyone is a dude, so it's not very polite—no offense.

It's not always easy to define mainstream, but though some of those might be kind of mainstream, they still clearly differ from the usual "mainstream". But so far you didn't really list anything but that kind of mainstream, so it shouldn't be that odd to assume that's all you've seen. Someone once said—I forgot who—that anything can be mainstream. But compared to most mainstream, I wouldn't consider Samurai Champloo to be part of it.

Anyways, what I listed was still very well known (even in the English speaking world, I think) and as I said, I was just bored. If you've seen more than half of them, then it's good. Perhaps you want to consider watching rest of them also.

No I don't call everyone I meet dude...I was just kinda baffled how I got bunched up as a mainstream liker, I spend too much time on anime too much. I don't mean any disrespect to any1. I realize that everyone has there own opinion as well. So thank you for all the recommendations I will check a few of the ones out I haven't seen. Thx k bye.

Oh, alright then. But we're not saying there's something wrong with being a mainstream fan—most people are. Since you just listed pretty much only mainstream anime, I just thought to encourage you to try different kinds of anime too. I apologize for any misunderstandings caused.
