Action-Packed Animes Recommendations...

hey guys, now I would like to know if there are animes out there that are Action-Packed (no bullshit or trying-hard animes). I would like them to be filled with TWISTS, very good storyline, can make me CRY for UNWANTED turn of events, unpredictable, with good/bad romance/love story(rararaa~ah), wtih freakin' good OPENING SONGS (not those with poor budgeted music indies), and will make me ASK for MORE when I'm done with it..

by the way, please no MAGIC CASTINGS , MAGICAL SUMMONS and the Like or if there is one out there, make sure it's REALLY GOOD.
these are some animes that I've finished:

Gurren Lagann (FREAKIN GOOD, DAMN TOO GOOD; with the song, story, ending.. T_T)
Macross Frontier (the best-funded animation that I've watched so far)
Black Lagoon (is there a season 3? Damn i like her ass!)
Blasreiter (accidental, average)
Code Geass (this for me was next to gurren)
Death Note (a lesser version of code geass)
Samurai Champloo
Samurai Seven (very good sword fighting and animation)
Claymore (Damn I want to be Raki)
Line Barrels of Iron (duh~)
Seirei No Morobito (few actions, but very good animation and story)
Ghost in the Shell~Stand Alone complex
Fate Stay Night (shit filled anime, wish that I didn't watch this one)
Basara (very good fight scenes, but repetitive in a sense)
Kenichi (simple, yet exciting)

I took some liberties with these recommendations, but it's all candy. 90% of the are great, the rest 10% just very good that I liked a lot. Watch them all or die trying. dying is not an option

Black Cat (very typical shounen action, but I actually liked it)
Cowboy Bebop (space adventure classic, soundtrack by Kanno Youko!)
Darker than BLACK (one of the best action anime of the decade, the second season sucks though, soundtrack by Kanno Youko!)
FLCL (hyperactive mecha parody)
Gin'iro no Kami no Agito (anime film, post apocalyptic)
Gunslinger Girl (girls as assassins, in Italy)
Kaiba (one of my favorites, nothing like you've ever seen before, it's unique and it's awesome)
Kaidoumaru (ova, set in Heian period, visually attractive, nice music, one of the best animes set in historical Japan)
Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä (Miyazaki's post apocalyptic classic, music by Joe Hisaishi!)
Kino no Tabi (kinda philosophical, travel's of Kino and a motorcycle Hermes—some action)
Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Bashou (Shinkai's scifi film, music by Tenmon)
Last Exile (steampunk anime about two pilots)
Megazone 23 (three part ova, cyberpunk classic, I like the first part the best)
Memories (three part ova, scifi classic, first is drama, second comedy, third?)
Metropolis (movie, based on a classic manga)
Mezzo Forte (two part (?) ova, mercenary team)
Mind Game (hyperactive surreal adventure, by the maker of Nekojiru-sou(look below))
Nekojiru-sou (surreal adventure of a kitten to save his sister, who lost her soul, if you've ever watched the original Nekojiru series—this is totally different)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (new mecha classic, and if you're interested in mecha, try other Macross too, and Gundam)
Noir (gunslinger girl -like feeling, assassins in france)
Otogizoushi (intepended? sequal to Kaidoumaru, second half set in modern day)
Paprika (scifi mystery, based on a novel)

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha [series] (adventure, magic) (similar to inuyasha, collecting shards, lots of magical battles, season 3 is complete different from the first 2 and features  an all forms of combat and lots of fighting)

Full metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

i see potential in: The legend of the Legendary Heroes (densetsu no yuusha no densetsu), High School of the Dead, Shiki and Nurarihyon no Mago

I'd have to recommend staying away from texhnolyze... the art is good and there are some scenes that work, but I think you'll end up being more angry that you're STILL watching it than entertained. (as was the same with fate stay night like you said lol)
I don't really think it's similar to Serial experiments: Lain, but if he says so I'd watch Lain over that... at least there is mystery that leads to something

But if you're going down that paranormal road I'd say check out Sci-fi Harry, Elfen Lied, or maybe even Ergo Proxy (which by the way has a 2 disk soundtrack that works great for an ambiant playlist I use sometimes when I draw/study)

If you want something that's gonna kick ass the whole time though, I noticed nobody listed Trigun (he said cowboy bebop which would be another staple kickass show)

If anyone is looking for a swordsman anime they need to watch Ninja Scroll, there is a series too if you just have to have more, it's good enough I bought it but I think the movie is a bit better... (either way watch the movie first, unlike other anime they made the movie then a series)

Oh and for Claymore, I was upset with the ending myself... It just seemed like the show needed to go on longer before that.

Elfen Lied is the kind of anime that looks good to kids with no taste. Well, if pointless entertainment disguised as art is your thing, so be it, but in the end watching things like that just make you unable to understand deeper stories, like that of Texhnolyze. I understand why you don't think it's similar to Lain—that's because Lain is more easily appealing even if you don't understand it at all, whereas Texhnolyze requires a bit of understanding to appreciate it. Though that doesn't mean that everyone would like it if they understood it.

But branding your personal preferences as objective facts isn't very nice. Recommendations are subjective, but you should be subjective concerning only the things you like (including reasoning as to why) and be objective about the negative points and let the person themselves decide whether they like it or not.

It was based on the topic, not my personal preferance... and texhnolyze is not very appropriate it has more drama than action, yes it has depth but I didn't want to go into it because  this topic is focused on ACTION PACKED, so don't take it as a personal attack against you

oh and if you liked the craziness of FLCL you should check out the movie Dead Leaves
it's quite a bit more outlandish, but it's action all the way and interesting animation style
quite comical, violent, and twisted (although can be sick at times too lol)

I think it's exactly action packed, not just plain action. Most of what I recommended could be dropped just as well as Texhnolyze. Although Texhnolyze didn't have as much action as Ghost in the Shell for example, they were both essentially something other than action, but still had action in them too—though S.A.C. more so.

I still stand to my argument. I don't see any reason to dismiss Texhnolyze other than personal preference. But it's not big enough a deal to start off topic discussion about that in here.

In those recommendation classics like  X-tv  and  escaflowne are oftem missed.

Elfen Lied is also a masterpiece; even when not focused on action entierly.

Gungrave is another epic mafia action story.
