is Nyaa Torrents Down?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, so please forgive me if its not.

It seems people are still posting links to Torrents hosted by Nyaa Torrents, but I have been getting the access error whenever I tried to download them.

Is Nyaa Torrents down?  Or did they block U.S.A. IPs?

Works just fine with me. Other people have complained about it as well, but I think there would be a lot more if the whole US was blocked. It could be that certain regions are.

Well, many has had trouble with the site from time to time (many times a year, even), but it's always started working soon enough. How long have you been having this problem? Perhaps it will start working again after awhile. Be sure to let us know if you find out anything in case other people are having the same problem.

It started about a couple of weeks ago.

I tried both at home and at work and got the same error.

"Error 10 (net::ERR_ACCESS_DENIED): Unknown error."

So I don't think it is my individual IP, since it doesn't work on 2 different IP by 2 different Providers.

I only checked about 3-4 times.  Maybe it is just coincidence.  I'll check again when I get home.

I think your Firewall is denying your access to the site. Go to your Firewall settings and put your web browser on trusted list. You could also try to put Nyaa Torrents on the exceptions list on your Browser, Tools/Options/Security (usually).

What Anti Virus/Firewall are you using at home and at work?

Pretty sure it is not a firewall issue, unless Microsoft Blocked it as default.

I am using Microsoft Security Essentials (which doesn't do any ip blocking)

I only have default Windows Firewall on, and even with it turned off I still can't connect to Nyaatorrents.

It gives the

Error 10 (net::ERR_ACCESS_DENIED): Unknown error.

I have no idea why it is doing it.  Considering I am on 2 different computers, 2 different ISP.

It is Malwarebytes's Real-time Protection.

Evidently it is blocking Nyaatorrents' IP.

I just had to add 83.233.165.42 to the Ignore list and I can now connect.

Yeah, that error comes when some program is blocking the site. I'm glad it worked. You're welcome.

Hey i get same problem too
My antivirus is BitDefender 2010
i disable my firewall , and disable UPnP Port Mapping
and still can't download from this site

any suggestion ?

If so, try to put NyaaTorrents on your trusted list. If you don't know where the trusted list in on BitDefender, google it—I don't have a clue. Also add it to your browser trusted list. Make sure you only have one firewall on at a time and make sure the site is on the trusted/exceptions list. If you have any malware, spyware etc. programs make sure the site is on their trusted lists also or simply disable the programs. Make sure also that Windows Defender or whatever Windows is using nowadays isn't blocking the site.
